Cures at room temperature, ideal for heat sensitive samples.
Cures between 8 and 24 hours @ 20°C.
Some materials are heat sensitive and will recrystalize when exposed to high temperatures. Such specimens can be embedded without any risk using Aka-Cure, Slow.
Peak temperature is as low as 40 °C, with mounts of Ø25mm and Ø30mm size.
Good edge retention and low shrinkage results in an embedding ease to prepare.
The finished embeddings are clear with a light yellow tone, no problems with identifying the embedded sample.
Long pot life and low viscosity makes Aka-Cure, Slow very suitable for impregnation of porous specimens.
Mixing ratio: 13 g to 100 g / 20 ml to 90 ml
Perfect for embeddings
Clear, easy flowing epoxy resin. Its low viscosity and surface tension makes it especially well suited for embedding. Porous samples or samples filled with cracks and voids are often filled without the use fo vacuum impregnation.
A low boiling point makes it compatible with elderly vacuum impregnation devices, where the resin-hardener mix is under vacuum during the evacuation.
